Footwear Size Guide
Footwear Size Guide
Finding the right size is key to comfort. Use this guide to measure your foot, understand our European sizing, and find the best fit for each style we offer.
How to Measure Your Foot
- Prepare: Stand on a flat, hard surface on a sheet of paper. Wear the type of socks (if any) you plan to wear with your shoes.
- Trace: Have someone trace the outline of your foot, keeping the pen perpendicular to the paper. Trace both feet — use the larger foot as your guide.
- Measure length: Draw a straight line from your longest toe to the back of your heel. Measure this line in millimetres (mm).
- Measure width: Draw a line across the widest part of your foot (usually across the ball). Measure in millimetres.
- Compare: Use the size chart below to find your European size.
Tip: Feet can swell during the day. Measure in the afternoon for the most accurate result.

Width & Toe-Box Notes
- Standard width: All SOEBEDAR styles are cut to a standard (medium/D) European last unless noted otherwise in the model table below.
- Narrow feet: If your foot width is on the lower end of your size range, you will generally find a snug, secure fit — no adjustment needed.
- Wide feet: If your foot is wider than average, we recommend sizing up by half a size where possible, or choosing styles with an open or adjustable toe-box (see model table).
- Toe-box: Mules and open-toe sandals offer more volume at the toe and are generally more forgiving for wider feet. Pumps have a closed, shaped toe-box — if you have a broader forefoot, consider sizing up.
- Heel fit: Mules and backless styles rely on the arch and ball of the foot for fit. If you are between sizes, size down for mules to avoid the shoe slipping.
