Vineyard: Castellinaldo, Piedmont, Italy - The vineyards are south-facing and cultivated in this region for a long time.
Type of soil: Clayey-limestone
Wine-making process: Surefooted that a good wine is born in the vineyards; therefore, the double-harvest method is applied to devote time and care to the vines over the year. The period of harvest, end of September – beginning of October, is chosen in deliberation of the sugar and acidity levels, as well as the phenolic maturity. The crushing is done very slowly in order to completely eliminate stems and other unwanted material.
The fermentation process is carried out over a week with controlled temperatures, during which period we try to extract as much color as possible. After the fermentation period, the wine rests in French barriques for malolactic fermentation, in order to the get a compelling and robust wine.
Tasting notes: Rich scent, sumptuous, with a note of red fruits, vanilla and liquorice. Full taste, powerful with enormous structure. It’s very elegant, and in the mouth it tastes of plum jam and raisins.
Serving Suggestions: best served with red meat and poultry, with medium to long-aged cheeses.
Recommended serving temperature: 18o C
The delivery schedule is based on the first working day from processing. All orders placed before 11am will have that day included as a working day. All orders placed after this time, the first working day will be classified as the next day after the order is placed.
First-time orders can only be shipped to the cardholder’s billing address, in relation to your security. Clients may also be subjected to standard fraud prevention checks.
All orders are shipped via DHL between 1 - 2 days of time of order. A signature will be required upon receipt of the goods, if there is no-one available to accept the parcel a calling card will be left for you to re-arrange delivery.
